The issue was first raised in 2019 but no response has been received in over two years.

An Post is being described as giving 'the two fingers' to local Leitrim Councillors who are seeking answers on the reinstallation of post boxes believed to have been stolen across the county.

It was reported in October of 2019 that numerous old style post boxes in Leitrim had been removed or gone missing in various locations.

However, despite numerous attempts to contact An Post to discover if the absent infrastructure would be replaced, members of Ballinamore's municipal district have not received any response.
