59 people are living in refugee accommodation in the Shannonside region - even though they have the same status as an Irish citizen. 25 are in Roscommon, with 19 in Leitrim, and 15 in Longford.
They've successfully come through the asylum process and are allowed access normal housing. Tarmonbarry councillor Tom Crosby says they can't get a home on the open market because of the housing crisis:
