Medical experts are urging those who've not been vaccinated against measles to get the jab.
It follows an urgent alert from the HSE after commuters traveling on a local rail route may have been exposed to the disease.
The HSE has stated that members of the public travelling on the Dublin Connolly to Sligo Train on Friday evening the 28th of March may have been exposed to Measles.
The service left Dublin at 5.05 on Friday evening with the potential case located in Carriage D.
Measles is a highly infectious disease that can cause serious complications, particularly in children under one year of age, pregnant women, and the immunosuppressed.
The HSE is asking any members of the public who are not immune to the disease and who were on the service to be aware of the signs and symptoms of the condition for 21 days.
