Over 360 patients are waiting over 18 months for treatment at local hospitals.
The most recent report from the National Treatment Purchase Fund reveals just over 5,300 inpatients were on the waiting list as of the end of January.
A total of 5,330 are languishing on outpatient waiting lists at Sligo, Roscommon, Portiuncula and Mullingar hospitals.
As of the 31st of January, this number included 189 children.
Sligo University Hospital saw the highest number waiting with 3,414, followed by Roscommon Hospital where there were 836.
572 were recorded at Portiuncula and there was 508 at Mullingar Regional Hospital.
Overall, figures show there were 112,023 patients waiting nationally with 8,597 of those children.
