The Bishop of Elphin is paying tribute to one of the country's longest serving parish priests, from Co Roscommon.
Fr Gerry Hanly has been the PP of Boyle for the past 28 years, but will retire next month.
The Elphin native will be replaced by Fr John Gannon, the parish priest of Tulsk.

Bishop Kevin Doran says Fr Hanly has provided great service to Boyle for nearly three decades.
