Roscommon County Council has given the go ahead for the redevelopment of Boyle's historic post office.
Aaron Sharkey's proposal included eight bedrooms, a takeaway coffee facility and other works.
The 126-year-old post office closed its doors in January with the service relocated to Kelly's SuperValu on Elphin Street.
A decision on the development was due earlier this year, however, the local authority sought further information on the project.
They have now granted planning permission with 12 conditions.
