There are calls for Leitrim County Council to write to the Department of Agriculture, calling for Larry Murrin to be removed as the chairman of Bord Bia.
Sinn Féin councillor Brendan Barry is bringing a motion forward to next week's council meeting on the matter.
Members of the IFA and other farming organisations are calling on Larry Murrin to step down, after it emerged his company, Dawn Farm Foods, imported a small percentage of its beef from Brazil.
