The HSE has confirmed the number of cases of care currently under review has risen to 12, following another case of an infant who suffered a loss of blood or oxygen to the brain and a stillbirth.

The case was raised in the Dáil today by Labour TD Conor Sheehan and Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny, who said the garda investigation was inadequate.

Liam Farrell, 87, was found dead outside his house in Rooskey in January 2020. 

Paolo Roberto, known as Pablo, died in Galway University Hospital on Sunday while aged in his 50s.

Almost a third of the county’s population are living in deprivation – also higher than the national average.

The event finally got under way in the past hour in Lough Key Forest Park, after three flights were cancelled over the weekend because of high winds.
