A minute’s silence was observed at today’s meeting of Roscommon County Council after the death of a former councillor's husband.
Italian Paolo Roberto, known as Pablo, who lived in Castlecoote, lost his life at the weekend while aged in his 50s.
Widespread tributes were paid at today's council meeting, as councillors and management sympathised with former councillor Orla Leyden on the death of her spouse. Councillors also expressed sympathies with Pablo and Orla's daughter, Donata Maria.
