Padraig Pearses got the better of Clann Na Ngael by 1-17 to 1-14 in their Group A Round 2 fixture in Woodmount.
The Defending champions scored the last four points in the last four minutes of the game to gain the victory.
Padraig Pearses were leading by nine points to 1-05 at the half-time break.

Pearses soon established a 1-12 to 1-08 lead. The storyline soon changed when Clann na ngael gathered a scoring momentum to kick the next five scores to go into a one point lead. Frank Canning's Padraig Pearses finished strongly to get over the winning line.
