Strokestown booked a place in the Connacht club final with a six-point win over Allen Gaels.
First-half goals from Mikey Kavanagh and Diarmuid McGann setup a final meeting with Kilmeena in Castlebar.
The Roscommon champions led 2-7 to 11-points at half-time. However, the majority of Allen Gaels scores coming from Radek Oberwan, Ciarán Walsh, Caleb Duffy and Kieran Kilcline through two-pointer.
A Diarmuid McGann two-point free stretched Strokestown’s lead to five points after 40 minutes.
However, Allen Gaels fought back. Kilcline (2pf), Duffy and Ciarán McMorrow left just a point in it with eight minutes remaining.
The introduction of Cian Corcoran and Seán McDonnell allowed Strokestown to regain control. Two Shane McGinley scores and Keith Murphy eased the nerves.
Indeed, A McDonnell two-pointer and a McGinley added his third point of the afternoon to seal Strokestown’s side’s six-point victory.
Strokestown winning out 2-16 to 16-points. The Roscommon champions will face Mayo’s Kilmeena in the Connacht final.
Kilmeena had a 22-points to 1-9 win over Coolaney Mullinabreena.
