St. Brigids booked a place in the Connacht club senior football final with a convincing win over Ballina Stephenties.
Brigid’s scored a 1-21 to 3-8 win in Dr. Hyde Park.
However, it was Ballina who had the perfect start with Ben Thornton’s long ball ending up in the net after three minutes.
Indeed, it was ended as Senan Kilbride’s goal, stormed St Brigid’s in front. However, Evan Regan grabbed another goal for Ballina in the 17th minute.
The Roscommon champions got on top again with the help of points from Brian Derwin, Ben O’Carroll and Conor Hand. A Ruaidhrí Fallon two-pointer moved Brigid’s 1-12 to 2-1 ahead at half-time.
Ballina a third goal through Thornton early in the second-half. However, Brigid’s were able to comfortably seal their final berth with the help of scores by Derwin, Charlie O’Carroll and Ronan Stack.
St. Brigid’s securing a 1-21 to 3-8 win and setup a Connacht club SFC final with Moycullen on November 30th.
