However, a Cian Murray goal on 11 minutes opened the floodgates as Roscommon would go onto find the back of the Fermanagh net on four more occasions before the break.
Conor Morris after 19 minutes, two goals from the hurl of Sean Canning after 26 and 29 minutes followed by a Conor Mulry strike in the 34th minute sent Roscommon into the break leading by 13 points.

However, points from Conor Morris, Paddy Fallon and Cian Bowes went a long way to ensuring Roscommon sit top of the division after seven rounds.
