Poacher praises McNulty as Leitrim down London

Leitrim boss Steven Poacher poured praise on Barry McNulty as his side got their promotion hunt back on track.

Leitrim trailed London by 10 points at half-time. However, McNulty kicked 12 points, including five two-pointers as Leitrim came back to win by two points.

“I don’t think people outside Leitrim really understand or appreciate the contribution he makes to Leitrim, both on and off the field” explained Leitirm boss Poacher.

“You can see why he was made captain of UCD. That’s one of the best footballers in Connacht. The bottom line is Barry McNulty is one of the best players in Connacht”.

“When we have him, we’re delighted, because you have seen in the second-half, the difference he makes”.
