Roscommon senior football manager Mark Dowd says he was pleased with affording as many players game time as he did in this year’s FBD.
Dowd told Shannonside Sport; Cian McKeon will be absent for a couple of weeks with an injury picked up against Mayo in round two of the FBD League. Ruling McKeon out of next weekend’s Division one opener against Kerry.
Dowd also told Willie Hegarty; that experienced defender David Murray is taking time out to himself and will play no part in the near future.
In more positive news for Roscommon fans; Colm Neary has re-joined the squad following Strokestown’s impressive run in the Intermediate club championship. Neary will be available for next weekend’s opener in Killarney.
The midfield paring of Conor Ryan and Keith Doyle will also be available for selection for the opening round of the league. Both having featured in the earlier rounds of the FBD league.
Roscommon mark their return to Division One against last years All-Ireland champions Kerry on Sunday January 25th. Throw-in is 2pm in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.
