Dromard 1-13 Longford Slashers 0-11
Dromard surprised Longford Slashers with a convincing victory of round three in the Longford championship.
Slashers led at the break six points to five. At that stage it looked like they were on for a win.
However Dromard were excellent in the second-half. Matt Duffy’s 41st minute goal with points from Duffy, Aaron Farrell and Joseph Hagan swung the game in their favour.
Dromard were strong throughout the third quarter, limiting Slashers to four points and securing a second win of the championship.
Colmcille 1-10 Rathcline 0-5
This one went very much the way the score line suggests.
Colmcille dominated start to finish. Ciaran McKeon goal three minutes into the second-half put this beyond Rathcline. Colmcille led 1-6 to 0-2 at this stage.
Rathcline did manage to double their first-half scores in the second half but Colmcille were always controlling of the game.
Clonguish 1-4 Abbeylara 1-14
This game went totally to form as Abbeylara controlled this one from throw-in to finish.
Abbeylara led 1-8 to 0-2 at half-time. Colm P Smyth with a goal in the opening minute setting the tone of this one sided affair.
Chris Gordon goal managed to find the net six minutes from time for Clonguish but the game was long over by this stage.
Abbeylara winning out by 10 points, 1-14 to 1-4
