Work continuing to restore power to hundreds of homes locally

Some homes and businesses in the Shannonside region are having power restored this lunchtime following heavy winds overnight and this morning.

The ESB power check map shows there are presently 130 people still without power in the Gorvagh area of Mohill, while 87 are still waiting for power in the Geevagh Ballyfarnon area of north Roscommon.

There are just over 1,000 people without power in the Strokestown Rooskey area after it went off around half past ten this morning.

ESB say power should be restored there around half past two.
