Up to 100 new jobs are to be created next year at the former Cameron Willis site in Longford town by a Roscommon based construction company.
News of the jobs comes as part of a multi-million euro investment deal.
The jobs in Longford are to be created by Framespace Solutions which has been operating from a base in Ballinlough in west Roscommon manufacturing metal housing systems for the rapid build construction sector.
It's understood that some of the jobs in Longford will be taken up by staff moving from Roscommon but it's anticipated that many more will be created over the next twelve months.
The nature of the jobs to be created in Longford will range from factory operatives, to designers and structural engineers.
Local Fianna Fail Deputy Joe Flaherty says the new plant will bring a lot of opportunities for people in the county.
