The North West STOP suicide prevention organisation says there's been an unprecedented demand for their services over the last two weekends.
The Halloween Bank Holiday weekend saw a team of counsellors respond to 12 clients in less than 24 hours, all of whom were in need of immediate support.
There was also a significant increase in people seeking help over last weekend, with a total of 48 people making contact between last Friday and yesterday evening.
The service supports people from Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan, Sligo and Donegal, as well as parts of Fermanagh.
Chairman Tom O'Reilly says counsellors are still working with 26 people at the moment.
He's says while they're glad to have been able to respond, the situation is very concerning.
