Two men are due to appear in court in Athlone later this month following a significant drugs and cash seizure in the town.
A search of a housing estate on Friday night shortly after 9 o' clock led to the discovery of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of almost €9,000, as well as €20,000 in cash.
An 18 year old and a 25 year old are facing charges relating to possession of drugs for sale and supply as well as cultivation of the cannabis plants.

They're due to appear at Athlone District Court on the 18th of this month.
