Slow adventure tourism in Leitrim is one area that has has benefited from the change in holiday habits this year.

The county has developed besspoke holidays for individuals, families or groups who want a less pressured holiday.

Experiences range from relaxation, taking to the water, stepping back in time or explore the wilderness.

In 2019, Leitrim was one of two counties along with Derry that the EU prioritised for the development of Slow Adventure Tourism.

Tourism Officer Sinead McDermott says it's been a steady success since, growing further throughout the lockdown.
