TII taken to task over school speeding

One car was clocked at 102 km per hour in the 50 km per zone while children were alighting from the school bus.

Primary students in County Roscommon are appealing for motorists to slow down outside their school.

Pupils at Cloverhill National School carried out a survey which showed vehicles are regularly breaking the speed limit.

Local councillor Marty McDermott is calling on Transport Infrastructure Ireland to take action.

He plans to raise the issue at the next meeting of Roscommon Municipal District.
