Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are investigating the theft of a substantial amount of cash from a vehicle near Kilclare.
The incident occurred sometime between 8 and 9:45pm on Sunday July the 31st in the Drumaleague area.
It's understood a large sum of money was taken from the white coloured Mitsubishi crew cab.

Gardai say there was no physical damage to the vehicle and Garda Dora Tracey from Carrick on Shannon Garda Station is making this appeal.
"This crime occurred on Sunday the 31st of July and Gardai are looking for the public's assistance," they added.
"If you noticed anything suspicious, contact Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station."
