Sligo/Leitrim and North Roscommon Deputy Marian Harkin is calling for Christmas tree sellers to be deemed essential.

It's not clear if those who sell trees at the side of the road or in pop up shops will be allowed to do so during level 5 restrictions.

Independent TD Marian Harkin says it should be permitted.
