The Shed Distillery is celebrating record revenues for their products last year despite Covid and they're currently hiring people for work

The Managing Director of the Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo says he's optimistic for the coming tourist season and the boost in employment that it's creating.

Pat Rigney this week announced record revenues of close to €10 million for the Drumshanbo business last year despite the Covid crisis.

While the new visitors centre was only able to remain open for a few months after it opened last September the founder of the Shed Distillery says they were very happy with the attendance and interest from the domestic tourism market.

Pat Rigney says they're very happy that the drinks products are performing so well in a very competitive market, and he says that in turn is going to create more employment at the distillery itself, and also in the visitors centre.
