Shannonside community groups receive over 126,000 euro to help with social distancing measures

Community groups across the Shannonside region are receiving a funding boost to help in dealing with Covid-19.

The funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development will help groups make changes to their premises to allow for social distancing.

Funding can also be used for the provision of online activities and services.

Community groups in Roscommon are receiving 43,815 euro, Longford groups are 42,964, while organisations in Leitrim are to receive 40,025 euro.
