Roscommon town is get €157,000 for works in historic areas of the town.
The funding, announced by the Heritage Council this afternoon, will see six towns around the country share in €1 million.
The Roscommon funding is for conservation works in the county town.

Work will take place on the street frontage of a number of historic buildings.
The Heritage Council says it hopes it will act as "a catalyst for heritage-led regeneration in the older parts of the town which have suffered decline".
