Ballyforan woman Rachel Hastings was speaking as New Zealand's Keely O'Grady was crowned International Rose of Tralee for 2024.

The Roscommon Rose says it was an honour to represent the county at this year's Rose of Tralee. Ballyforan woman Rachel Hastings was speaking as New Zealand's Keely O'Grady was crowned International Rose of Tralee for 2024.

Rachel, who is a farmer and lecturer at St Angela's College Sligo enjoyed her live interview with Daithi O Se last night. Speaking to Shannonside News, she said she was happy with how the festival went:

Rachel was sharing a room with this year's winning Rose and said the New Zealand woman would be a great ambassador for the other 31 Roses:
