Roscommon nurse completes 23,000km charity cycle to Sydney

The Rossie to Aussie Cycle is in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice and North West STOP.

A Roscommon nurse has completed an epic 23,000 kilometre charity cycle after arriving at Sydney Opera House in the early hours of this morning Irish time.
Arigna native Fergal Guihen set off from his home in March 2024 and has since cycled through 28 countries.
The Rossie to Aussie Cycle is in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice and North West STOP.

It has seen Fergal traversing through Europe and Asia including challenging legs through Iran, Afghanistan and China.
He has so far raised over €136,000 for his two chosen charities.
Fergal says he's not sure what he'll do next but he's thankful for all the support he's received on his mammoth adventure:
