The CEO of Mayo Roscommon hospice says the building of the hospice unit on the outskirts of Roscommon town hasn't been badly affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

The sod was turned on the project beside Roscommon hospital in January this year and it will provide an 8 bed hospice unit as well as a range of day services and treatments for people to avail of.

Martina Jennings said they did lose a few weeks as a result of lockdown, but she says work has progressed very well since and it still looks on target for being finished by this time next year.
