Gardai are dealing with a serious road crash between Ballymahon and Mullingar this afternoon.
The R392 is currently closed after a collision between a car and a truck earlier this afternoon.
The incident occurred on the Mullingar side of Rathconrath village and gardai are asking drivers to avoid the area with diversions in place.

It's understood at least one person has been seriously in Mullingar injured and they have been transferred to hospital.
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours.
