Planning granted for new outdoor fitness facilities in Ballaghaderreen

Planning permission has been granted for a new out door public fitness amenity in Ballaghaderreen.

Ballaghaderreen Community Park CLG had sought to install exercise equipment and public lighting at Toomanagh near the town's GAA, Soccer and Cricket clubs.

The plans look for 12 outdoor fitness machines to be installed on the site along with 12 six metre high public lighting columns.

The light columns would be topped with energy efficient LED lanterns, with all ancillary site works and services also contained in the application.

Roscommon County Council approved the planning application with eight conditions attached.
