The owner and founder of the Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo says the company was happy to produce alcohol sanitizer when there was a shortage early

The owner and founder of the Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo says the company was happy to produce alcohol sanitizer when there was a shortage early on in the Covid pandemic, but it's not something they have continued to develop.

Pat Rigney says  they began producing the sanitizers in mid-March to make it available to small groups and larger public and private organisations, but they stood back when the shortage ended.

The official launch of the new visitor experiences at the Shed Distillery on last Thursday and Pat Rigney says it's been a busy year.

He says they continue to produce a small amount of sanitizer mainly for their own use but won't be expanding the production again unless it was necessary.
