Over 600 people over-75 spend more than 24 hours at local emergency department

619 people over the age of 75 spent over 24 hours in Sligo University Hospital's emergency department last year.
They were treated there before being admitted or discharged.

In total, over 2,700 elderly people spent over 24 hours in an emergency department that serves the Shannonside region in 2015.
