Over 200 people have signed a petition against an energy plant earmarked for Ballaghaderreen.
Grid System Services has asked Roscommon County Council for planning permission for an energy storage system.
It would involve 44 battery blocks at Ballyoughter.

The local authority rejected a very similar application for the site last November.
