There has been a noticeable drop in the number of people in local hospitals with Covid in the last seven days.
28 people are in hospital with Covid in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda today,- the highest in the Shannonside Northern Sound region but five fewer than this day last week.
The next highest hospital is Galway University Hospital with 12 which has recorded a drop of seven Covid patients in the last week.

The number of people being treated for Covid in Mullingar has dropped from 14 to nine since this day last week, with Tullamore's Covid total dropping by half, from 13 to six .
There has only been a slight change in other hospitals such as Sligo and Cavan, who have reported eight and seven patients respectively today
