There are sixteen patients waiting on trolleys at Portiuncula Hospital and 32 waiting for a bed in Sligo.

Nationally, almost 123,000 people were left of a hospital trolley last year.

Nationally, Limerick University Hospital is facing 112 people in their ED this morning.

According to the latest INMO figures, there are 14 people currently waiting in the Emergency Department in Sligo and 26 people waiting for a bed overall. Mullingar has 12 patients in its Emergency Department.

5,210 patients have been without a bed in Irish hospitals since the beginning of September.

Sligo Univeristy Hospital is the worst affected with 50 people waiting for a hospital bed whilst Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe has 29 people waiting in it's ED.

Sligo University Hospital recorded 720 people waiting for a hospital bed last year, with 737 waiting this year so far.

Sligo University Hospital is the second busiest ED in the country today.
