Longford county council is to build a 4.3 kilometre path to connect the sports grounds at Monaduff to the nearby village of Ballinamuck.
The proposed path will be constructed out of crushed gravel and it will be around 3 metres wide.
The path is being built to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians and it will run alongside the R198 and L1017 roads through the townlands of Monaduff, Crowdrumman , Lettergullion , Gaigue and Shanmullagh.

Plans for the route will be available at the offices of Longford County Council in Longford from this Friday August 14th.
