Roscommon County Council says a new panel system for contractors has greatly improved the turnaround on social housing.
A Local Authority Performance Indicator Report shows that Monaghan County Council has the fastest turnaround time to tenant houses within 11 weeks.
In Roscommon social housing units are ready within 22 weeks, it takes almost 36 in Leitrim and 49 weeks in Longford.

The longest timeframe in the region is in Cavan where new tenants must wait over a year for vacated properties to come back into the housing pool.
