The newly elected Mayor of the Athlone-Moate MD is optimistic for the year ahead.
Cllr Liam McDaniel was elected to the role at Monday's AGM in the council chamber in Athlone.
A native of Ballinagore, Cllr McDaniel, who now lives in Kilbeggan previously held the role of Cathaoirleach of Westmeath County Council in 2024.
