N4 closed in both directions in Mullingar following road traffic collision

The N4 is closed in both directions in Mullingar between J17 Mullingar West and Ballinafid, on the Longford side of the town following a collision.

Local diversions are in place.

It's understood two vehicles were involved in a collision around 3 o' clock this morning.

There's no indication so far on any injuries or when the road might be re-opened.
