The Chairperson of Mohill Town Team says he believes the majority of people in the community will be satisfied with the public realm plan adopted by councillors at a meeting in Carrick-On-Shannon today.
Plans to change the streetscape of the town caused controversy when the local council published them several weeks ago with many businesses in particular worried about losing parking and changing traffic flows.
An amended version of the plans was voted though at a meeting of the Carrick-on-Shannon municipal district this morning, with councillors Paddy Farrell and Des Guckian voting against.
Gerry Kilrane who's Chair of the Town Team says while the money has yet to be secured to carry out the plan, he believes that it will be a positive move for Mohill.
