A father-of-four has been jailed for two and a half years for crimes linked to a burglary spree, including in Co Roscommon.
The 30-year-old was convicted of being in possession of goods stolen during the burglaries.
Edward Connors Junior, of Drumcairn Park in Tallaght, Dublin 24, was sentenced in Longford Circuit Court today.
Judge Kenneth Connolly said he was one of three men in a car on November 29, 2024, when it was stopped by gardai.
There were items in the vehicle connected with burglaries - including jewellery, tools, and signal blockers to disrupt garda communications.
The two other men in the car - a father and son - were jailed for offences including burglaries in Frenchpark and Dysart in Co Roscommon.
Judge Connolly noted how there was nothing to associate Edward Connors Junior, in court today, with the burglaries.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of handling stolen property and one count of being in possession of articles connected with burglaries or thefts.
Judge Connolly sentenced him to two and a half years in prison.
This will only start around 2028 - as Connors Junior is in Castlerea Prison serving a separate six-year sentence for burglary, which he got last year.
