A man in his 40s was arrested following a physical altercation in the middle of Castlerea town centre on Monday.
Gardaí are investigating after an altercation involving two men took place just before 10.30am in an incident of affray and criminal damage.
The window of one local business was badly damaged following the incident. Gardai have confirmed that a man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in Garda custody.
