A man's been arrested in connection with alleged criminal damage at Cooney's Hotel in Ballymahon on Tuesday night.
Three plate glass windows in the front of the premises were smashed in the incident causing several thousand euro worth of damage.
A 20 year old is understood to have been detained early this morning and brought to Longford garda station for questioning.
Meanwhile investigations are ongoing this morning into the burning of 5 cars at a premises on the Dublin road in Longford town in the early hours of this morning.
The scene is still being forensically examined and gardai want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Dublin road area around 4 o' clock this morning, or who may have dash cam footage if they were driving through the town.
