Tributes are continuing to pour in for the late Paddy Cowan who passed away in London yesterday.

The 78-year-old Longford man founded the Irish World newspaper in London in 1987.

Mr Cowan was also a Life President of the Longford Association there.

Editor of the Irish World Bernard Purcell explained how he was indeed "a tireless champion" of the Irish in the UK when he set up the newspaper first:
