The Attic House Youth Service in Longford is appealing for support from people in the county as it reveals it's in a "desperate financial situation".
There are 3,500 young people in Longford between the age of 12 and 18 and over 3,000 of those are registered with the service.
The service began over 10 years ago and moved in 2015 to a purpose built youth centre which has a computer suite, meeting rooms, a youth Café, kitchen, offices and reception area.
It runs several programmes to meet the needs of young people in the area and brings structure to the lives of more vulnerable teenagers who need extra support.
A major fundraising draw is underway at present with a raffle for a modular garden pod worth €20,000.
Ruth McGarry Quinn says they hope to raise over €100,000 for the service but still have a long way to go.
