A Longford women's rights advocate thinks the controversy over a TV ad that showed women how to use a tampon is connected to the idea of shame.
Earlier this week the advertising watchdog has come under fire for removing a tampon ad that demonstrated how they work.
The Tampax ad received 84 complaints and the ASAI decided to pull it as a result.
