The Chairman of the Longford Vintners Association says publicans who don't serve food are disappointed at not being trusted to implement the same safety guidelines as restaurants and gastro pubs.

Gerry Lynn who runs The Sportsman's Inn in Edgeworthstown says he and other members are very disappointed and can't understand while they are being singled out in the hospitality sector.

Speaking on the Let's Talk show today the Longford publican says restaurants will have far more people going through their doors in a week than the average local pub.
