Bishops Gate which is the home of Longford Town Football Club has suffered significant damage following Storm Éowyn. Local MEP Ciaran Mullooly estimates between €75,000 and €100,000 in damage has been caused to the club's grounds.
Many sports grounds across the country have suffered damage as a result of the storm. The Connacht GAA Air Dome was one of the most notable venues to suffer damage, with the Dome being destroyed as a result.
